Terms of Service.

1. Who we are, and what Brief is

Brief (brief.thuraya.biz) is a curated marketplace operated by Thurayabiz, Sultanate of Oman, that connects clients who post creative project briefs with vetted vendors (freelancers, SMEs and non-SMEs) who submit proposals to deliver them. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You must provide accurate, current information when registering — including business details such as commercial-registration data where applicable — and keep it up to date. Vendor accounts are reviewed by our team before activation and we may decline or revoke registration at our discretion. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. Briefs, proposals & engagements

Clients are responsible for the accuracy of the briefs they post; vendors are responsible for the accuracy of their proposals and for delivering accepted work as agreed. The commercial terms of each engagement (scope, fees, schedule) are those stated in the accepted proposal for that project. Thurayabiz curates and facilitates the marketplace and may mediate disputes, but is not a party to the underlying engagement unless expressly stated.

4. Payments

Payment amounts, milestones and methods are recorded per project on the platform. Invoicing and settlement obligations lie with the parties named on the engagement. Platform fees, where applicable, are disclosed before you accept an engagement.

5. Content & intellectual property

You retain ownership of the material you upload, and grant Thurayabiz the licence needed to operate the platform (hosting, display to counterparties, backups). Transfer of intellectual property in delivered work is governed by the engagement between client and vendor. Do not upload material you have no right to share.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the platform: no unlawful content, no circumventing the marketplace to avoid recorded engagements, no misrepresentation of identity or qualifications, no attempts to breach security or scrape other users’ data. Uploads are scanned; malicious files are rejected and may lead to suspension.

7. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, provide false registration information, or create risk for other users. You may close your account at any time; records we are legally required to retain (e.g. financial and dispute records) survive closure.

8. Disclaimers & liability

The platform is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thurayabiz is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform or from engagements between clients and vendors. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Omani law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Omani courts.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes are dated above and, where required, notified to account holders. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
